What this product is

My Reading Table is a private learning table for adults. There are no public profiles, no leaderboards, and no public scores. Other learners cannot see your work.

What we collect

We only keep what we need to run your table:

• An email, if you give us one, and a password stored as a one-way hash — not the password itself.
• If you sign in with Google, the email and name Google shares with us, and a Google account identifier.
• An optional name or nickname. You do not have to use your real name.
• Whether you chose a guest account.
• Your lesson progress, saved words, sight-word review, and comfort settings (text size, spacing, typeface).
• A quiet record of days you sat down, used only to show you a gentle streak. It is never used to punish a pause.
• Purchase status, if you buy lifetime access, including Stripe payment identifiers.
• An email, if you join the newsletter.

Guest accounts do not need a name or a real email. If you never add an email, we may not be able to find that table again on another device.

What stays in your browser

Text-to-speech and optional read-aloud checks use tools already in your browser. Spoken audio for pronunciation is not uploaded to our servers. Theme and some reading comfort choices are also stored on this device.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your information.
• We do not publish your progress, your name, or your saved words.
• We do not run public rankings.
• We do not use your lessons to advertise other products to you inside the table.

How we use what we keep

We use this information to:

• Sign you in and keep your place.
• Open the right lessons after a purchase.
• Send a password-reset link, when you ask for one.
• Send the newsletter, only if you asked to be on that list.
• Keep the product working, secure, and honest.

Who else sees it

Payments go through Stripe. We do not store your full card number. If we send email, we may use an email provider. Google sign-in is handled by Google; we receive your email and name from them. Those companies process data only to provide that service.

We may share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone from serious harm. We will not share more than we must.

Cookies and sign-in

We use a small sign-in cookie so you do not have to type your password on every page. We do not use advertising trackers on the learning pages.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and progress while the table is in use. Newsletter addresses stay until you leave the list. If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove the personal records we control, unless we must keep a limited record of a payment.

Your choices

You can:

• Use a guest table with no real name.
• Add or change an email in settings so you can return later.
• Leave the newsletter at any time.
• Ask us to correct or delete your account.

Children

This table is built for adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, please write to us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top of this page. The current version is always here.
